The Saint Camillus Men's Retreat honoring Monsignor Joseph A. Dunne is located in Maggie Valley, NC. The retreat is open to men recovering from addiction through a 12 Step Program.


The retreat is situated on the Living Waters Catholic Reflection Center, 40 miles west of Asheville. Jonathan Creek gently flows through the property. The area is well known as a tourist attraction for the beautiful views, foliage, wildlife, and lore of the Great Smokey Mountains of western North Carolina. The mountains and valleys here were the lands of the Cherokee Indians. One of the nature trail guides is a Native American Cherokee and shares stories of his people and their respect for the land. The solitude, relaxation, and reflection possibilities within the area are abundant.

The center has facilities for private and directed retreats, preached retreats, seminars and conferences. The attractive dining room is complemented by superb, home-cooked meals prepared three times a day. A small devotional, Eucharistic chapel is part of the Center. The parish church of St. Margaret, with its stunning views of the surrounding mountainside, is the center's main worship space, where Morning Prayer and Mass are celebrated daily.

The retreat begins with dinner on Friday, June 6th at 6:30 p.m. and concludes with the final presentation after breakfast on Sunday, June 8th. Registration begins mid-afternoon on Friday. Private rooms and all meals are provided.

The cost of the retreat is $160 per person. A non refundable deposit of $60 should be mailed in prior and the $100 balance will be due upon arrival. If you truly cannot afford this amount, contact a retreat promoter from the list below. Arrangements will be made for you to attend. Registration is limited, so please reply with your deposit as soon as possible.
